Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, a new natural foods grocery retailer opening in the Midwest, is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Brand Engagement Specialist. Based in the support office, the Brand Engagement Specialist will report to the Social Media Manager and work directly with Fresh Thyme customers on all social media and digital platforms. As part of an evolving marketing team, you will be responsible for executing social media and digital community responses that engage consumers, bringing them closer to our brand and the products they love. The Brand Engagement Specialist’s job responsibilities will include the following:

 

  • Act as community manager across all platforms, promoting positive brand conversation and engagement and addressing complaints per consumer care protocol
  • Build relationships with category managers, store support staff and regional marketing staff to support consumer and marketing needs
  • Partner with Social Media Manager to evolve social media and digital marketing strategy and align it with broader marketing campaigns and goals
  • Identify and track consumer outreach trends to help the company increase loyalty and relieve pain points within stores to better the customer experience, and deliver to the marketing team on a monthly basis
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly analytics and trend reports to marketing team
  • Keep finger on the pulse of community and social trends, new platform features and best practices, and provide channel and community insights with actionable next steps on an ongoing basis
  • Become familiar with the company’s loyalty program to best assist customers with issues and questions
  • Become a brand advocate and learn the store operations to best assist customers with issues and questions
  • Develop deep understanding and ownership of brand voice and knowledge
  • Other related duties as assigned

 

 

 Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Communications or Marketing (or related field)
  • Minimum 2-3 years previous experience in marketing, public relations and or event management
  • Customer service experience

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Yelp, Google My Business
  • Experience with social media management tools, such as Sprout Social, Social Studio, Hootsuite
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills
  • General understanding of retail business processes in corporate and field organization
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Project management and implementation skills
  • Strong teamwork, presentation, skills and ability to work with all management levels
  • Love of and knowledge of food
  • Ability to interact with and maintain positive relationships with the business and vendor community
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently; excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced ever-changing work environment
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimal direction
